Help with your bill

What does patient responsibility mean?

On an EOB, patient responsibility is what your plan thinks you may owe—often copay, coinsurance, or deductible. It is not always the final number on a provider bill.

Practical checks

Before you pay or panic:

  • Does a provider bill match this amount?
  • Did you already pay a copay at the visit?
  • Is the service listed correct?
  • Is any amount still pending insurance?

Photo every page of your bill or EOB

Multi-page EOBs are normal — add all pages (up to 10). Photos work best; PDFs with text are supported too.
